Victory at the PWR50 Cup


Mukul Lodhi and Vaishnavi Lodhi claimed the championship in the mixed doubles division at the recent PickleSpin PWR50 Cup in Kanpur. Their performance was marked by precise placements and excellent control of tempo, allowing them to secure the top position in this tournament sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA).


After their victory, Mukul shared his excitement, stating, “Winning this match brings me immense joy. It was a challenging contest, and we dedicated two days to intense practice. I am thrilled with the outcome.”


He further emphasized the sport's appeal, saying, “Pickleball is an exhilarating game. Our opponents were formidable, and we received great support from them. Ultimately, we emerged victorious.” Mukul also commended the tournament's organization, noting, “The court conditions and staff were excellent, and the umpires were very approachable. It was a fantastic tournament.”


The PickleSpin PWR 50 Cup, recognized by the Indian Pickleball Association, took place in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, from February 27 to March 1. The event showcased three days of thrilling pickleball action, featuring 70 players competing in five different categories, highlighting emerging talent from the area.
