During a discussion on Star Sports, cricket analyst Mitchell McClenaghan emphasized that if MS Dhoni is fit, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) should consider utilizing him as an Impact Player, particularly in chase situations. This strategy would enable Dhoni to concentrate on scoring quickly and aggressively without the need for extensive running, thereby bolstering the team's lower middle order and aiding him in regaining his form.

"If MS Dhoni is available, CSK should definitely bring him in as the Impact Player. Should the management feel the need for a quick influx of runs, especially during chases, deploying him in this role would maximize his batting potential. As an Impact Player, he wouldn't have to run much; he could simply come in, hit the ball hard, and finish the game in style. His ability to play aggressively will be crucial for CSK when they are pursuing large totals," McClenaghan stated.

"This approach could effectively help Dhoni find his rhythm again. His inclusion would significantly strengthen CSK's lower middle order," he added.
