MLP San Diego Day 3 Recap: Dallas Flash and Columbus Sliders Dominate Group Stages

MLP San Diego Group Stage Summary

The third day of the MLP San Diego event wrapped up on Saturday, marking the conclusion of the group stages as we head into Super Sunday. In Group A, the Dallas Flash emerged as the leaders with an impressive 4-0 record. The Atlanta Bouncers and Los Angeles Mad Drops both finished with 2-2 records, but the Bouncers secured the second spot due to tiebreakers. The Bay Area Breakers, despite a 1-3 record, managed to clinch fourth place, while the Utah Black Diamonds also ended with a 1-3 record, finishing fifth.

Group B was led by the undefeated Columbus Sliders, who completed their group matches with a perfect 5-0 record. The SoCal Hard Eights, California Black Bears, and Orlando Squeeze all concluded with 3-2 records, with the Hard Eights taking second place and the Black Bears finishing third based on tiebreakers. The Phoenix Flames ended their campaign with a 1-4 record, while the Florida Smash finished the group stage without a win at 0-5.

The top four teams from each group have advanced to Super Sunday, where they will compete for standings points. The winners from Group A and Group B will clash for 25 standings points, while the second, third, and fourth place teams from each group will engage in cross-group matchups. Teams finishing in fifth place will earn one standings point, while those in sixth will receive none.
