In a thrilling match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) opener Mitchell Marsh achieved a remarkable milestone by scoring the fastest century in the franchise's history. His explosive innings of 111 runs off just 56 balls included nine fours and nine sixes, showcasing his dominance from the very first ball.


This performance marks LSG's fifth-highest individual score, trailing only Quinton de Kock's impressive 140* against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2022. Marsh now joins KL Rahul as the only players to have scored multiple centuries for LSG, each with two tons.


Breaking Previous Records

Marsh's century, achieved in just 49 balls, surpasses the previous record held by Rishabh Pant, who scored a century in 54 balls against RCB at the same venue last season. Currently, Marsh ranks as the 12th highest run-scorer this season and is LSG's leading batsman, accumulating 367 runs in 10 innings at an average of 36.70 and a strike rate of nearly 153, which includes one century and one fifty.


Marsh Climbs the Run-Scoring Ladder

With this latest achievement, Marsh has overtaken Quinton de Kock (901 runs) and Marcus Stoinis (952 runs) to become LSG's fourth-highest run-scorer, amassing 994 runs in 23 innings at an average of 43.21 and a strike rate of 159.55, featuring two centuries and seven fifties. The top three run-scorers for LSG are Nicholas Pooran (1,564 runs in 53 innings), KL Rahul (1,410 runs in 38 innings), and Ayush Badoni (1,135 runs in 54 innings).
