Marsh's Praise for IPL

Mitchell Marsh, a key player for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), has lauded the Indian Premier League (IPL), referring to it as the "best competition in the world." The Australian all-rounder highlighted the tournament's unpredictability, citing LSG's recent victory over Gujarat Titans at their home ground, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, as a prime example.

In their latest encounter against the Gujarat Titans, Lucknow secured a win by 33 runs after posting an impressive total of 235 runs. Marsh shone in this match, scoring a remarkable century with 117 runs off just 64 balls, making him the first overseas player to achieve a century in IPL 2025.

Reflecting on the competition, Marsh expressed disappointment over his team's close losses, stating, "The IPL is a beast of a competition. Any team can beat any team on any given day; that’s why it’s the best competition in the world," during the post-match presentation where he was awarded Player of the Match.

He also shared insights about his journey, mentioning, "I have had a few years off in between as well. I first played for the Deccan Chargers in 2010. It’s been a while. Opening the batting has been a great opportunity. The partnership with Aiden has been fantastic both on and off the field. Initially, they bowled well during the powerplay, but once we established some solid partnerships, it eased the pressure on us."
