Mercedes Mone Set to Defend TBS Championship at AEW Dynamite in Philadelphia
AEW Dynamite Returns to Philadelphia
This Wednesday, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will host its weekly Dynamite event in Philadelphia, featuring a highly anticipated TBS Championship match. The reigning champion, Mercedes Mone, will defend her title in a singles match, as confirmed during last night's Collision episode on TNT.
During the August 30 episode of Collision, it was revealed that Mone, who has held the TBS Championship for over 462 days, will face Alex Windsor in Philadelphia. Windsor challenged Mone after her swift victory over Ashley Vox, suggesting that Mone is intimidated by her due to a previous match where Mone tapped out.

This won't be Windsor's first attempt at the TBS title; she previously competed in a four-way match at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view in London, where she, along with Persephone and Bozilla, failed to dethrone Mone. Despite several near victories, Mone managed to retain her title.
Following the international pay-per-view, Mone celebrated her TBS Title win on the last AEW Dynamite, showing little concern for Windsor's past performance. However, this Wednesday, Mone will face Windsor in a singles match for the first time, adding to the excitement of the event.
Mone and Windsor have faced each other in tag team matches three times throughout August, but this will mark their inaugural singles encounter for the title. This match will also feature an eight-man tag team match with top AEW stars like Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and the Young Bucks.
