Mehul Rana to Represent India in Boxing Championship

Chandigarh's own Mehul Rana has earned the opportunity to represent India at the upcoming Sub-Junior Asian Boxing Championship, which will take place in Uzbekistan from May 1 to 16.


A talented boxer and KVS Regional gold medalist, Mehul is currently in Class 9 at KVS School, Sector 47.


The selection trials for the Indian boxing team were conducted at the NS NIS Patiala. In the decisive final match, Mehul triumphed over a boxer from Punjab by RSC in the second round, following a convincing 5-0 victory against a Haryana opponent in the semifinals.


He is presently honing his skills under the guidance of coach Bhuwan Singh at the Commando Boxing Stadium.
