The 17th edition of the Master Vaibhav T20 Championship for 2026-27 commenced on Saturday at the Gandhi Bagh Cricket Stadium in Meerut. Sanctioned by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and organized by the Meerut District Cricket Association, this open tournament features eight teams from various regions of Uttar Pradesh. The champions will receive a cash prize of ₹1,00,000. On the inaugural day, MDCA Meerut (Red) triumphed over the Muzaffarnagar Cricket Association by seven wickets, while the Ghaziabad Cricket Association secured a victory against DCAA Cricket Association (Agra) by 14 runs, marking a successful start for both teams.

Tournament Structure and Timeline
The championship consists of eight teams split into two groups, competing in the group stage until September 17. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals scheduled for September 18, culminating in the grand final on September 19 at the Gandhi Bagh Cricket Stadium.
