The inaugural event of the 2026 Major League Pickleball (MLP) season brought forth unexpected twists, thrilling finishes, and surprising results, with the Los Angeles Mad Drops emerging as the standout victors at MLP Dallas. In the final match on Monday, Los Angeles triumphed over the Columbus Sliders, securing the top spot in the event and earning 25 points in the early playoff standings.
While both LA and Columbus were anticipated to be strong contenders this season, few expected them to face off in the final, especially with heavily favored teams like New Jersey and St. Louis in the mix.
