Upcoming Season Details

New Delhi, Sep 10: The fourth season of Major League Cricket (MLC) is set to kick off on June 18, 2026, culminating in the final match on July 18, 2026. Organizers have confirmed that the tournament will feature six teams competing in a total of 34 matches.

The teams participating in this season include the Los Angeles Knight Riders, MI New York, San Francisco Unicorns, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings, and Washington Freedom.

Plans are underway to introduce two additional teams by the 2027 season, with potential expansion into Canada also being considered.

In the previous season, MI New York triumphed over Washington Freedom by 5 runs in a thrilling last-ball finish, marking their second championship win in three years. Season 3 was notable for its high-scoring matches, with 18 team totals exceeding 200 runs, five matches concluding on the last ball, and seven centuries recorded.

"The success of Season 3 has demonstrated the growing demand for high-quality cricket in the U.S.," stated Johnny Grave, CEO of Major League Cricket. "We are attracting new fans and viewers across the USA and globally, fulfilling our commitment to expand the sport and strengthen partnerships with both new and existing sponsors."

American Cricket Enterprises (ACE), the league's owner, aims to establish 10 international-standard venues by 2030, with investments exceeding USD 150 million.

"Our next step involves further investment in infrastructure. With ACE's ongoing support, we aspire to have 10 world-class venues by 2030, enhancing access to premier cricket for fans and fostering better development opportunities for American players. We eagerly anticipate the action and quality cricket that MLC Season 4 will bring, starting June 18," Grave added.

Since its inception in 2023, MLC has been the only ICC-sanctioned domestic T20 franchise league in the United States, gaining traction both on and off the field, with ACE reporting record-breaking ticket sales, broadcast reach, and digital engagement for Season 3.
