In a thrilling encounter at the I.S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali, the Ludhiana Lions achieved a convincing six-wicket victory against the Fazilka Falcons during the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League. The Lions successfully chased a formidable target of 201 runs, thanks to impressive half-centuries from Bikramjeet Singh and Salil Arora.

Fazilka Falcons Set a Tough Target

The Fazilka Falcons managed to score 200 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 20 overs, showcasing a commendable batting effort. Despite losing Vihaan Malhotra early in the innings, Anshul Chaudhary and Pranshu Pratap stabilized the innings with an 86-run partnership. Pranshu contributed significantly with a half-century before being dismissed, while Anshul scored 65 runs off 47 balls before retiring out, laying a solid foundation for a strong finish. Sanvir Singh then provided a late surge, scoring an explosive 59 runs off just 28 balls, which included five sixes, helping the Falcons reach the 200-run milestone. Kartik Chadha stood out for Ludhiana as the most economical bowler, conceding only 19 runs in his four overs without taking a wicket.

Lions' Chase Proves Successful

In pursuit of 201 runs, the Ludhiana Lions faced an early setback with the loss of Abhijeet Garg. However, Bikramjeet Singh and Salil Arora quickly steadied the innings, attacking the Fazilka bowlers with confidence. The pair formed a crucial 114-run partnership, both scoring half-centuries. Bikramjeet scored 58 runs off 35 balls before his dismissal, while Salil continued his aggressive play, finishing with 78 runs off just 38 balls. With the Lions in a strong position, Arjun Rajput and Karteek Sharma contributed to the chase, with Karteek scoring 15 runs off 10 balls before getting out. Arjun remained not out with 35 runs off 18 balls, leading the Ludhiana Lions to a comfortable six-wicket victory, successfully chasing down the target with ease.
