A Fresh Identity for Lucknow Super Giants
Lucknow: The Lucknow Super Giants have introduced a striking new logo in anticipation of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, revealed on Tuesday.
The redesigned emblem showcases the Garuda, a crown, and an elephant, marking a shift from the previous blue color scheme to a vibrant red, symbolizing a fresh identity. This new design bears similarities to the logo of the Manchester Super Giants, which also features an elephant alongside its iconic winged motif.

Prior to this logo change, the Manchester Originals underwent a rebranding to become the Manchester Super Giants, following a significant 70% acquisition by the Sanjiv Goenka Group. Their new logo, revealed on January 26, prominently features an elephant head adorned with a crown in red, white, and gold.
In a statement, the Lucknow Super Giants expressed, "Today, we unveil a new logo that is more than just a design change. It embodies the spirit of our city, our state, and every fan who has supported us since our inception."
The franchise elaborated, "This emblem combines three significant symbols: Garuda, the Crown, and the Elephant, each narrating a story that resonates deeply with Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh."
Shashwat Goenka, the owner of the Lucknow Super Giants, emphasized the emotional significance of the new logo.
He stated, "This logo holds deep meaning for us. The people of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh embraced the Super Giants from the very start. This symbol pays homage to that affection and trust. Garuda signifies our aspirations to soar higher, the Crown represents the pride you instill in us every time we step onto the field, and the Elephant embodies the strength and loyalty that characterize this region."
He further added, "This is not merely a change in identity; it is a commitment. A commitment to honor this city, respect our heritage, and compete with passion. Every run, every wicket, every moment will reflect the emotions of our fans."
As the new season approaches, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have assembled a formidable team, led by Rishabh Pant, with seasoned players like Nicholas Pooran, Mohammed Shami, and Mitchell Marsh, all aiming to secure their first IPL trophy under this new emblem.
