Kolkata: The Lucknow Super Giants have announced that Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga will miss the remainder of the Indian Premier League due to an injury, as confirmed on Thursday.


Hasaranga has been struggling with a hamstring injury since February and has not yet returned to full fitness.


The franchise is anticipated to reveal a replacement for the injured player within the next 24 to 48 hours.


Tom Moody, the global director of LSG, stated during the match against KKR that, “Wanindu Hasaranga won’t be able to join us, and we are preparing to get a replacement in the next 24 to 48 hours.”


It has been nearly two months since Hasaranga participated in competitive cricket, and sources indicate that he is still unable to bowl. Additionally, he has not yet sought a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Sri Lanka Cricket.
