Lucknow Super Giants' IPL 2025 Campaign Ends

The Lucknow Super Giants, led by Rishabh Pant, have concluded their IPL 2025 journey. In their final league match on Tuesday, they faced a defeat against RCB. Finishing the season in seventh place, LSG managed to secure only six wins out of 14 matches. Pant, who was acquired for a staggering ₹27 crore during last year's mega auction, holds the record for being the most expensive player in IPL history. However, his performance as both captain and batsman did not meet expectations.

Owner's Gratitude Despite Challenges

Despite the team's disappointing performance, owner Sanjiv Goenka expressed his gratitude towards Pant. On Wednesday, he took to social media to share his sentiments, stating that this IPL season for LSG has come to an end. He reflected on a journey filled with victories and challenges, highlighting the team's fighting spirit, unity, and resilience. Goenka thanked Pant for his heartfelt leadership and acknowledged the efforts of every player.

Acknowledgment of Support Staff and Fans

Goenka further expressed appreciation for Zaheer Khan, Justin Langer, Vijay Dahiya, and the entire management and support staff, including coaches, physiotherapists, analysts, and ground staff, for their relentless efforts behind the scenes. He also thanked the fans for their unwavering support throughout the season, promising a stronger comeback in the next season. Notably, despite facing criticism for a lackluster season, Pant ended on a high note with an impressive unbeaten 118 runs off 61 balls, featuring 11 fours and eight sixes.
