Liv Morgan Faces Injury Setback on WWE Raw

During the latest episode of WWE Raw, Liv Morgan sustained a shoulder injury, reminiscent of a previous incident from a couple of years back. At that time, her tag team championship reign alongside Raquel Rodriguez was cut short due to an elbow injury. Reports suggest that WWE may take similar actions this time.

On June 16, while competing against Kairi Sane, Morgan's injury occurred when Sane executed a takedown, causing Morgan to hit her hand forcefully against the mat. She quickly exited the ring, visibly in pain. Announcer Michael Cole confirmed that Morgan had dislocated her shoulder.

According to Bodyslam, Morgan is expected to undergo surgery and will be sidelined for approximately six months, which means she will likely miss the remainder of the year on television. An update from PWInsider indicates that WWE has officially removed Morgan from their schedule, and she will not be appearing on TV anytime soon.

Despite this setback, there are currently no plans to vacate the Women’s Tag Team Titles on WWE Raw. Future plans regarding the titles are reportedly in place, although specific details have not been disclosed at this time.

Morgan and Rodriguez have made history in WWE's tag team division, being the first female duo to hold the championship belts on four separate occasions. Their latest victory occurred just after WrestleMania 41, where they reclaimed the titles from Lyra Valkyria and the returning Becky Lynch.

Since regaining the titles, they successfully defended them once on the April 22 episode of WWE NXT against Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley. Following that match, Morgan took a break from the ring to work on a film project in Japan.

Upon her return to WWE Raw, Morgan maintained her momentum and initiated a new rivalry with WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella. Reports indicated that they were set to face off in a match at Evolution in July, but this bout has now been canceled due to Morgan's injury.
