Lionel Messi's GOAT Tour Expands to Hyderabad: What to Expect?
Messi's Exciting Addition to His India Tour
New Delhi: Renowned Argentine footballer Lionel Messi has announced that Hyderabad will be included in his highly anticipated 'GOAT Tour to India 2025' next month, marking it as his fourth destination in the country.
Following the Kolkata segment, which is the inaugural stop, Messi will head to Hyderabad before making his way to Mumbai and New Delhi, where he is anticipated to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a heartfelt message on social media, Messi expressed, “Thanks for all the love from India! The GOAT tour kicks off in a few weeks! I’m thrilled to announce that Hyderabad has been added to my visits to Kolkata, Mumbai, and Delhi. See you soon, India!”

The inclusion of Hyderabad follows the cancellation of a friendly match that was initially scheduled in Kochi, which was announced by Kerala's Sports Minister V Abdurahiman for November 17.
This adjustment ensures that Messi's 'GOAT Tour' will cover all four regions of India: east (Kolkata), south (Hyderabad), west (Mumbai), and north (New Delhi).
Satadru Dutta, the sole organizer of the 'GOAT Tour to India 2025', mentioned that the event in Hyderabad will likely take place at either Gachibowli or Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
Dutta also revealed that the Hyderabad event will feature a celebrity match, a football clinic, a felicitation ceremony, and a musical program.
The 'GOAT Tour', designed by Dutta, will include a variety of events such as celebrity football matches, musical performances, meet-and-greet opportunities, masterclasses for children, and recognition ceremonies across four cities.
Messi's tour will commence in Kolkata on December 13, followed by Hyderabad on the same evening, then he will travel to Mumbai on December 14, and conclude in New Delhi on December 15.
