The tournament will commence at Colombo's Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground, where the defending champions, Jaffna Kings, led by Sri Lanka's Bhanuka Rajapaksa and featuring Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan, will face Dasun Shanaka's Galle Gallants in an anticipated opening match.

The opening weekend will showcase another thrilling match as Indian cricketer Vijay Shankar and England's Moeen Ali lead Kandy Royals against Dambulla Sixers.
Over the course of three weeks, six franchises will engage in a double round-robin format before the playoffs in Colombo. This season boasts one of the strongest rosters in LPL history, with Kandy Royals featuring stars like Shankar, Moeen, Angelo Mathews, and Wanindu Hasaranga.
