Lakshya Sen's Commanding Win at the Australian Open

In a remarkable display of skill, Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen emerged victorious in the men's singles final at the Australian Open Super 500, defeating Japan's Yushi Tanaka with a score of 21-15, 21-11 in a match that lasted only 38 minutes.


For his victory, Lakshya earned a prize of USD 475,000.


Throughout the match, Lakshya showcased exceptional reflexes and precise control, outclassing Tanaka, who had previously secured two Super 300 titles this year at the Orleans Masters and the US Open.


Sen's performance was so dominant that he made it look effortless, securing his title at the Australian Open 2025.


With this win, Lakshya became the second Indian player to clinch a title in the current BWF World Tour, following Ayush Shetty's recent Super 300 victory at the US Open.
