India's Performance at the ISSF World Cup

Nicosia [Cyprus], May 10: Kynan Chenai emerged as the standout performer for India during the Trap shooting events at the ISSF World Cup in Nicosia, Cyprus, held on Saturday. Unfortunately, the Indian team did not qualify for the finals in both the men's and women's categories.


Kynan achieved a total score of 117 in the men's trap qualifiers, finishing with rounds of 24 and 23. This placed him in 17th position overall.


Gold medals were secured by Manuel Murcia from Spain in the men's category and Lada Denisova representing Neutral Athletes (AIN) in the women's category. The Trap Mixed Team event is scheduled for the final day on Sunday.

Trap Men - Shardul Vihan scored 113 (with rounds of 24, 21, 19, 24, 25), finishing in 62nd place; Bhowneesh Mendiratta also scored 113 (with rounds of 23, 22, 23, 23, 22), ending in 65th place.


Trap Women - Kirti Gupta scored 114 (with rounds of 22, 22, 22, 25, 23), placing 15th; Rajeshwari Kumari also scored 114 (with rounds of 23, 22, 23, 23, 23), finishing 17th; Sabeera Haris scored 112 (with rounds of 22, 21, 23, 24, 22), ending in 27th place.
