KKR Secures Victory Against SRH
Hyderabad: Angkrish Raghuvanshi showcased his talent with a well-crafted 59 runs, leading Kolkata Knight Riders to a convincing seven-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their IPL encounter on Sunday.
Captain Ajinkya Rahane contributed significantly with 43 runs, forming a crucial partnership of 84 runs for the second wicket with Raghuvanshi, as KKR comfortably chased down SRH's modest total of 165 runs.
Finn Allen set the tone early with a quickfire 29 runs off just 13 balls, giving KKR a strong start.
Earlier in the match, Travis Head was the standout performer for SRH, scoring a rapid 61 runs off 28 deliveries. However, KKR's bowlers, particularly the spinners, effectively limited SRH to 165 runs.
Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine were instrumental in dismantling the SRH middle order, with Chakravarthy taking 3 wickets for 36 runs and Narine claiming 2 wickets for 31 runs.
Narine's performance also marked a milestone as he reached 200 wickets in the IPL, becoming the third bowler to achieve this feat, following Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Ishan Kishan added 42 runs to the SRH total, but it wasn't enough to secure a win.
