Exciting Intra-Squad Match for KKR

In a thrilling intra-squad warm-up match held in Kolkata, skipper Ajinkya Rahane and high-profile acquisition Cameron Green showcased their batting prowess with quick fifties. Ramandeep Singh also contributed with a dynamic performance.


The match featured the Golden Knights, captained by Rahane, facing off against the Purple Knights, led by seasoned player Manish Pandey.


Golden Knights' Batting Performance

Batting first, the Golden Knights opened with Rahane and New Zealand's Finn Allen. Allen made a swift impact, scoring 31 runs off just 15 balls, including a spectacular six. Rahane delivered an impressive innings, scoring 58 runs from 25 balls, forming a solid partnership with Green, who added 52 runs off 30 balls. Angkrish Raghuvanshi also contributed with a quick 23 runs from 17 balls.


In the final overs, Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh added valuable runs, with Rinku scoring 24 off 8 balls and Ramandeep hitting 42 off 16 balls, leading the team to a total of 249 for 5. Umran Malik had a challenging day with the ball, finishing with figures of 0 for 44 in three overs.


Purple Knights' Response

In their chase for 250 runs, the Purple Knights managed to score only 188 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Tim Seifert and Rachin Ravindra struggled, scoring 10 and 3 runs respectively. Uncapped player Tejasvi Dahiya showed promise but could only muster 23 runs, while Manish Pandey added 22 runs.
