KKR, Harshit Rana injury: The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have received disappointing news ahead of the 19th season of IPL 2026. According to reports, star all-rounder Harshit Rana has been ruled out of the entire tournament due to an injury.

Harshit Rana was also part of the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup, but he had to withdraw due to his injury. The franchise has not yet announced a replacement for him.

Injury Before T20 World Cup

Harshit Rana was included in the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, but he sustained a knee injury during a warm-up match against South Africa. Consequently, he had to miss the entire tournament, with Mohammad Siraj taking his place.

During the T20 World Cup, Harshit underwent successful knee surgery and is currently in rehabilitation. Initially, it was believed that he would miss only part of the IPL, but now it has been confirmed that he will be absent for the entire tournament. Over the last two seasons, he has taken 34 wickets for the team.

KKR's Challenges Increase Ahead of IPL 2026

Harshit Rana is a crucial all-rounder for KKR. Last year, he showcased his talent while playing for Team India in the T20 format. His absence raises concerns for the franchise, especially since they had already released Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman.

However, they have brought in Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani to the squad, who will join the IPL after leaving the Pakistan Super League. KKR has yet to announce a replacement for Harshit Rana.
