Tournament Overview

The Kapil Dev Invitational Tour Championship is scheduled to take place at the Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort in Greater Noida from October 7 to 10. This prestigious tournament boasts a prize pool of ₹2 crore.


Key Participants and Stakes

A total of 64 professional golfers will participate, including the top 60 players from the DP World PGTI Order of Merit. This event serves as the final opportunity for players to secure their spots in the top 24 for the upcoming Race to DP World India Championship, as highlighted in a recent press release.


Notable Indian golfers in attendance include Shubhankar Sharma, reigning PGTI Order of Merit champion Yuvraj Sandhu, and current leader Saptak Talwar, who will be competing at his home course. Other prominent players include Khalin Joshi, Veer Ahlawat, Honey Baisoya, Akshay Sharma, and Rashid Khan. Additionally, Greater Noida's own Amardeep Malik and Arjun Sharma will also be in the mix.


The tournament will feature 10 international professionals from eight different countries, including Sri Lanka’s N Thangaraja, Italy’s Michele Ortolani, and Bangladesh’s Jamal Hossain, among others.


Innovative Pro-Am Competition

This year's tournament introduces a unique Pro-Am format, merging professional and amateur competitions. Each of the four rounds will include a separate Pro-Am event, where teams of one professional and one amateur will compete together. Amateurs will play in a modified scramble format, while professionals will follow the traditional stroke play rules.


Scores from the professionals will contribute to both the main leaderboard and the Pro-Am championship, with prizes awarded to the top three Pro-Am teams at the end of each round.
