Kangana Ranaut Appointed as Ambassador for World Para Athletics Championships 2025
Kangana Ranaut Takes on New Role
On Wednesday, the renowned actor and politician Kangana Ranaut was officially announced as the brand ambassador for the upcoming World Para Athletics Championships, scheduled to take place in New Delhi from September to October 2025.
The 39-year-old actress, celebrated for her roles in acclaimed films such as ‘Fashion’ and ‘Queen’, currently serves as the representative for the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh in the Lok Sabha.
In a statement released by the Paralympic Committee of India, Ranaut expressed her admiration for para athletes, stating, “India’s para athletes are redefining limits every day. I am truly honored to support them and to help highlight their remarkable accomplishments. Para sports embody not just competition but also immense courage, and I am proud to back our champions.”
Devendra Jhajharia, President of the Paralympic Committee of India and a two-time gold medalist in javelin at the Paralympics, remarked, “Kangana’s enthusiasm, influence, and dedication to Indian athletes make her an ideal ambassador for the New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championships.”
This prestigious event is set to take place from September 26 to October 5, featuring athletes from over 100 nations.
