John Cena's Exciting Return to WWE

New York [US], March 31: Renowned WWE superstar and actor John Cena has officially announced his return to the wrestling world, confirming that he will host WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

In a post on X, the legendary 17-time world champion, who hung up his wrestling boots last year following a memorable farewell tour, expressed his excitement: “Since retirement, my 'road' has looked a little different... but now I can officially say I’m headed to WrestleMania!!!! See you in Las Vegas!”

WWE also confirmed Cena's return, stating, “John Cena is stepping back onto the Grandest Stage of Them All as the host of WrestleMania 42.”

The announcement highlighted that Cena, who retired from in-ring action last December after a match against Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event, is making his first appearance back in WWE.

WrestleMania has been the backdrop for some of Cena's most memorable matches against wrestling legends like Big Show, Triple H, Batista, Shawn Michaels, The Miz, and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Notably, he captured his first WWE championship at WrestleMania 20 in 2004, defeating Big Show for the WWE United States Championship.

In his final year as an active wrestler, Cena faced off against major rivals including CM Punk, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and Brock Lesnar, as well as current stars like Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio.

During this last active year, Cena made history by winning his 17th world title, defeating Cody at WrestleMania 41. He also achieved a career grand slam in WWE by winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Dominik in November, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career that began in 2002.

WrestleMania 42 is set to feature exciting matches, including CM Punk defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes facing off against 14-time world champion Randy Orton. This highly anticipated event will take place from April 18-19.
