Joe Root Sets New ODI Record for England Amidst Challenging Match Against West Indies

To become England's most successful ODI batsman, Joe Root needed just 31 runs in the second ODI against the West Indies, a target he reached with ease. Eoin Morgan had accumulated 6,957 runs in 207 innings across 225 ODIs, averaging 39.75. In contrast, Root surpassed Morgan's record in his 168th innings of his 179th ODI match, boasting an impressive average of 48.31.
