Jitesh Sharma Named Captain of NECO Master Blasters
Jitesh Sharma will captain the NECO Master Blasters team in the Vidarbha Pro T20 League, which is set to take place from June 5 to June 15 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. This tournament features six teams competing in a total of 18 matches. Veteran player R. Sanjay has been appointed as the vice-captain, alongside young talents like Aryan Meshram, Adyan Daga, and Vedant Dighade.
The tournament will kick off with a match between Pagarhia Strikers and Nagpur Titans. Jitesh's team, NECO Master Blasters, will play their first match against Bharat Rangers on June 6. The league will also include women's teams, with Bharti Fulmali serving as the captain of the NECO women's team.
Outstanding Performance in IPL 2025
During IPL 2025, Jitesh Sharma showcased remarkable skills, scoring 261 runs in 11 innings with an impressive strike rate of 176.35 and an average of 37.28. He hit 24 fours and 17 sixes, playing a pivotal role in securing RCB's first IPL trophy in 18 years. Notably, he scored an unbeaten 85 runs in Qualifier 1, leading RCB to the finals. He aims to maintain this form in the Vidarbha Pro T20 League.
