In a gripping contest at the Jaipur Polo Grounds, Jindal Panther secured a narrow 10-9 win against Jaipur Achievers during the Northern India Polo Championship on Thursday.
Jindal Panther showcased a strong performance, leading 7-4 at halftime, thanks to their cohesive teamwork and effective scoring. Juan Gris Zavaleta was the standout player, netting four goals, while Siddhant Sharma contributed three, Ramiro Zavaleta added two, and Naveen Jindal scored one.
The second half saw Jaipur Achievers rally back, displaying an aggressive offensive strategy that allowed them to take the lead. Alejo Aramburu was instrumental in this comeback, scoring six goals, with Sawai Padmanabh Singh and Daniel Otamendi adding two and one goal, respectively.
With the score tied at 9-9 in the final chukker, the match proceeded to extra time. A crucial missed penalty by Jaipur Achievers allowed Jindal Panther to seize the opportunity and secure the winning goal in the additional period.
