Neesham's Incredible Catch Captivates Fans

While cricket enthusiasts were focused on the IPL 2025 Qualifier 2 clash between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians in Ahmedabad, New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham amazed spectators during a T20 Blast North Group match featuring Durham and Lancashire.

In a thrilling moment while bowling the final over, Neesham executed a remarkable return catch off his own delivery, dismissing Josh Bohannan. Although this impressive feat did not lead to a victory for his team, the catch off Bohannan's powerful shot left the audience in awe.

Lancashire Triumphs in a Close Contest Against Durham

Lancashire's captain, Keaton Jennings, opted to bowl first after winning the toss at Riverside Ground. Durham struggled early on, finding themselves at 71/4 within just over ten overs.

Nevertheless, some late contributions from Ben Raine (29), Jimmy Neesham (40*), and Will Rhodes (18*) helped Durham reach a total of 150/6 in their 20 overs.

James Anderson stood out for Lancashire, taking 3 wickets for just 17 runs, supported by Aspinwall, Wells, and Blatherwick, each claiming one wicket.

Lancashire faced their own challenges in the chase, slipping to 80 for 4. However, Michael Jones's 55 off 39 balls brought them closer to victory, while Josh Bohannan contributed 31 off 28. Neesham's stunning catch ended Bohannan's innings.

With just one run needed off the final ball, Jack Blatherwick, the new batsman, secured the win with a single, marking Lancashire's third consecutive victory this season, placing them at the top of the North Group. Durham, in contrast, sits fourth with one win from two matches.
