Jasprit Bumrah Shines in First Test Against England, Fans Want Him for All Matches
Bumrah's Stellar Performance
In the opening Test match against England at Headingley, Leeds, Jasprit Bumrah has taken charge of India's bowling lineup. The 31-year-old fast bowler delivered an outstanding performance, claiming 5 wickets for 83 runs in the first innings, solidifying his position as the world's top Test bowler.
Initially, Bumrah had indicated that he would participate in only three out of the five Tests in the series. However, following his impressive display, both fans and cricket analysts are urging him to compete in all five matches.
A Light-hearted Request
Sunil Gavaskar and Cheteshwar Pujara, impressed by Bumrah's first innings performance, playfully asked his wife, Sanjana Ganesan, to persuade him to play in all five Tests. During a conversation on June 22, they expressed their wishes to her.
Sanjana, who is also at the venue covering the series, conveyed the message to Bumrah with a smile, and the delightful exchange was captured on camera, much to the delight of fans.
