With this victory, Sinner becomes the eighth active male player to achieve 100 wins in Grand Slam tournaments, joining the ranks of tennis greats like Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka.
At just 24 years old, Sinner holds an impressive 100-22 record in Grand Slam events, translating to a winning percentage exceeding 82%. His performance in major tournaments has been particularly noteworthy.
Since his 39th Grand Slam win at the 2024 Australian Open, Sinner has amassed a remarkable 62-6 record in major competitions, with his only losses coming against top players such as Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev.
Among active players with over 100 Grand Slam match victories, only Djokovic boasts a better winning percentage than Sinner.
Sinner's journey began with his first Grand Slam match win at the 2020 Australian Open against Max Purcell. Earlier this year at Wimbledon, he also set a record for the most Grand Slam singles match wins by an Italian player, surpassing the previous record with his 95th victory against Nuno Borges in the second round.
