As the fourth day of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 title match concluded in Hubballi, Jammu and Kashmir has established a formidable lead of 477 runs.


Karnataka's Struggles Continue

Karnataka resumed their innings at 220/5, trailing Jammu and Kashmir's first innings total of 584. Mayank Agarwal, who began the day with 130 runs, added 30 more before being dismissed by Sahil Lotra, breaking a crucial 79-run partnership with Kruthik Krishna, who scored 36. Vidhyadhar Patil briefly held his ground but fell to Sunil Kumar in the 84th over. Agarwal's efforts came to an end when Auquib Nabi Dar trapped him in front of the wickets; he finished with 160 runs off 266 balls, including 21 boundaries. Nabi Dar also dismissed Shikhar Shetty for a duck, while Yudhvir Singh Charak claimed the last wicket of Prasidh Krishna, leaving Karnataka all out for 293 runs in 93.3 overs. This gave Jammu and Kashmir a significant first-innings lead of 291 runs.


Jammu and Kashmir Expands Their Advantage

In their second innings, Jammu and Kashmir opened with Yawer Hassan and Qamran Iqbal. Hassan was dismissed for just 1 run by Krishna, and Vyshak quickly followed up by taking out Shubham Pundir, who scored only 4 runs. Captain Paras Dogra managed 16 runs before falling to a stunning delivery from Krishna. Abdul Samad contributed 32 runs off 70 balls, forming a 73-run partnership with Iqbal before being dismissed by Shreyas Gopal. At the end of Day 4, Sahil Lotra remained not out at 16 off 41 balls, while Iqbal stood strong at 94 not out off 160 balls. Jammu and Kashmir's lead has now swelled to 477 runs, putting them in a strong position to secure their first Ranji Trophy title on the final day.
