In a gripping conclusion at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, the Jalandhar Warriors narrowly defeated the Bathinda Royals by three runs during the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League 2026. The Warriors set a formidable target of 205 runs in 19.3 overs, with captain Prabhsimran Singh shining once again, scoring his second consecutive century in the tournament.

Prabhsimran's Century and Ashwani's Hat-Trick Highlight Jalandhar's Innings

The Warriors faced early challenges, finding themselves at 62/3. However, Prabhsimran partnered with Aryan Yadav to stabilize the innings, adding a crucial 118 runs for the fourth wicket. Aryan contributed a brisk 39 runs off just 19 balls before his dismissal. Prabhsimran continued to excel, achieving another remarkable century, although he struggled for support as wickets fell frequently. Ashwani Kumar from Bathinda emerged as the star bowler, not only limiting Jalandhar's score but also making history by claiming the tournament's first hat-trick. In pursuit of 206 runs, Bathinda Royals started steadily, with openers Rishabh Gupta and Harnoor Singh putting together 48 runs for the first wicket. Nevertheless, Saharan fought back, hitting a six and a four in succession, reducing the target to six runs from the last two balls.
