Ireland's T20I Squad Changes for West Indies Series

New Delhi [India], June 6: Ireland has announced three modifications to their 14-member T20I squad for the upcoming three-match series against the West Indies, as reported on the ICC's official platform.

The team welcomes back seasoned pacer Mark Adair, who was absent from the ODI series due to an injury.

Unfortunately, right-arm bowler Craig Young will also miss the T20I series after being sidelined during the ODI matches due to injury.

All-rounder Curtis Campher is in a similar situation, as he has not recovered in time to participate against the West Indies.

Additionally, Gareth Delany, who was part of the T20I squad announced last month, has been ruled out due to an injury sustained during a club match, joining Young and Campher on the injury list.

In their place, 22-year-old Tim Tector, who made his debut against Zimbabwe in a rain-affected match earlier this year, has been included. Keeper-batter Stephen Doheny also returns, having last played in an away series against Zimbabwe in January 2023. Furthermore, leg-spinner Gavin Hoey has received his first call-up to the T20I team.

Addressing the injury situation, Andrew White, Ireland's National Men's Selector, stated, “It has been a challenging time recently, with unfortunate injuries affecting several key players. Both the recent ODI series and this month’s T20I series against the West Indies have truly tested our depth of talent.

“With the next Men's T20 World Cup set for February 2026, this series is crucial for preparing the squad and will serve as a valuable indicator of our current standing,” he added.

Here is the Ireland squad for the West Indies series:

Paul Stirling (C), Mark Adair, Ross Adair, Tim Tector, Stephen Doheny, George Dockrell, Matthew Humphreys, Josh Little, Barry McCarthy, Liam McCarthy, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Ben White, Gavin Hoey.
