As reported by a local news agency, the players penned a handwritten message for their fans after their second group-stage encounter.
The note conveyed, "From the ancient Persia of thousands of years ago to the modern Iran of today, the spirit of Iran remains vibrant and strong."
It continued, "We arrived in Los Angeles with pride, competed honorably, and depart with dignity. Thank you, Los Angeles, for your warm welcome. This gesture followed a commendable start to Iran's World Cup journey. Team Melli kicked off Group G with an exciting 2-2 draw against New Zealand and followed it up with a hard-fought goalless draw against Belgium.
