Virat Kohli's Training Session Raises Eyebrows

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], April 14: Star batter Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) was spotted with a bandage on his leg during a training session leading up to the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday.

A video shared by LSG's official social media account showed Kohli interacting with Kane Williamson, a member of LSG's support team, and their captain Rishabh Pant, all while he had the bandage on his leg. This situation arises amid concerns regarding a potential leg or ankle injury.

Despite the injury scare, Kohli was seen practicing his batting in the nets. In the ongoing IPL 2026 season, he has accumulated 179 runs over four matches, boasting an impressive average of 59.66 and a strike rate of 162.72, including two half-centuries and a top score of 69 not out.

In his last outing against the Mumbai Indians (MI), Kohli scored a quick 50 runs off 38 balls, hitting five fours and a six, although he did not appear to be at his best.

Following a setback against the Rajasthan Royals (RR), RCB bounced back with an 18-run victory over MI at Wankhede Stadium. Key contributions came from Phil Salt (78 runs off 36 balls), Kohli (50 runs), and Rajat Patidar (53 runs), leading RCB to a total of 240/4. MI managed to score 222/5, falling short despite a remarkable 71 not out from Sherfane Rutherford, who struck nine sixes and a four. Notably, Kohli remained off the field during this match, seen wearing a jacket while resting.
