Major IPL Trade Announcement
In a significant development in the IPL, Rishabh Pant is set to return to the Delhi Capitals (DC) as part of a notable trade involving Kuldeep Yadav, who will be heading to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). This trade marks one of the most impactful player exchanges in the league's recent history. Pant, who previously captained LSG, is rejoining DC, where he played for nine seasons from 2016 to 2024, making a record 111 appearances for the franchise.
As a key figure for DC over the years, Pant led the team in 43 matches from 2021 to 2024. During the TATA IPL 2025 Player Auction, he was acquired by LSG for an unprecedented INR 27 crore, setting a record for the highest bid in IPL history. Following this trade, Pant will return to DC at a revised salary of INR 15 crore.
Kuldeep Yadav, on the other hand, joins LSG after a successful five-season tenure with Delhi Capitals, where he took 72 wickets in 65 matches since joining in 2022. Recognized as one of India's top white-ball bowlers, he will continue with LSG at his current fee of INR 13.50 crore.
