Bowling Coach Omkar Salvi, speaking before the KKR encounter, emphasized the significance of adaptability and sound decision-making in T20 cricket.

Sometimes the pitch or conditions may not be ideal, so it’s vital for bowlers to make sharp decisions. That’s the focus of our discussions and preparations,” Salvi explained.

He further stressed the importance of simplicity in execution, stating that the bowling unit aims for clarity and responsiveness to varying conditions.

“As bowlers, we need to keep things straightforward. It’s about setting the action and tone, allowing batters to respond. We must analyze the conditions and leverage our strengths to stay sharp and execute our strategies effectively,” he noted.

With the playing surfaces differing across venues this season, Salvi highlighted the necessity of being adaptable.

“We must be prepared for all types of surfaces we encounter, and as a team, we are ready to tackle these challenges. Adapting, reading the situation, and responding accordingly is part of the game,” he remarked.

Reflecting on the close victory over MI, Salvi mentioned that such wins enhance team cohesion and belief.

Salvi also commended young pacer Rasikh Salam for his development through experience and learning.

“Currently, our focus is solely on our team, our strengths, and our preparation. We will make tactical decisions based on the pitch conditions on match day. KKR has been performing well recently and has good momentum, so it promises to be an exciting match,” he concluded.
