Rajat Patidar Shines as RCB Reaches IPL Final Again
Rajat Patidar's Stellar Performance
Rajat Patidar showcased exceptional leadership as he guided the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to their second consecutive IPL final with an outstanding performance in the first Qualifier. The right-handed batsman scored an impressive 93 runs off just 33 deliveries, helping RCB amass a formidable total of 254. With a remarkable strike rate of 281.82, Patidar hit 9 sixes and 5 fours during his innings. He began cautiously but quickly shifted gears, aggressively targeting the bowlers. Aakash Chopra, who is providing commentary for IPL 2026, praised Patidar's performance and advocated for his inclusion in the Indian national team. "When someone scores 93 runs off 33 balls and maintains an average of 112 in playoffs, they deserve recognition. He should be considered for the Indian team. RCB is a prestigious franchise with a rich history and a passionate fan base, yet they have yet to secure a trophy," Chopra stated on his YouTube channel. "He transformed the game. Although he had two lives, once he started hitting, he dominated the bowlers. At one point, they had scored 100 runs in just 30 balls. This mindset can change games and seasons. It was one of the finest innings from a qualifier perspective," he added.
