Rajat Patidar Shines as Captain for RCB in IPL 2025

Rajat Patidar's Leadership and Performance
New Delhi [India], May 18 (Media House): Rajat Patidar's rising stature as both a captain and a batsman for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has garnered accolades from Sanjay Bangar, the former head coach of RCB and a JioStar expert. He praised Patidar's calm leadership and maturity throughout the IPL 2025 season.
In a discussion on JioHotstar regarding Patidar's performance, Bangar noted, “The number of balls you face can often dictate your performance. If the top order is excelling, your opportunities may be limited. Additionally, being among high-performing teammates means you shouldn't dwell too much on a few failures.”
Despite the unpredictable nature of T20 cricket, Patidar has made a significant impact with both his batting and strategic insights.
Bangar further commented, “Rajat has taken on his responsibilities exceptionally well. His captaincy has been impressive. He began the season strongly with the bat and continues to shine whenever he is at the crease. In T20s, it’s common to have a few off days – that’s just how the format works.”
RCB's recent match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was called off due to rain, resulting in both teams sharing a point. This outcome has benefited RCB, placing them at the top of the points table with 17 points from 12 matches, which includes eight victories, three losses, and one no result.
With just one more point needed to secure a place in the IPL 2025 playoffs, RCB is set to face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a crucial match this Friday.
