Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], May 19: In the 64th match of the IPL 2026 season, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the toss and chose to field first against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday evening.

This significant match is taking place at the Sawai ManSingh Stadium. Yashasvi Jaiswal has stepped in as the captain for the Royals, replacing the regular skipper Riyan Parag.

During the toss, Jaiswal confirmed that Riyan Parag would not be part of the playing XI. He also provided an update on all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who is sidelined due to a minor injury.

“We will bowl first. The pitch looks promising, and there might be some dew later on. It’s a proud moment for me to lead the Rajasthan Royals. Jaddu bhai is recovering from a hamstring issue; we hope he’ll be back soon. We’ve made three changes to our lineup. It’s crucial for us to maintain a positive mindset and enjoy the game,” Jaiswal stated.

After the toss, LSG captain Rishabh Pant expressed confidence in his team’s chances and announced several changes in their lineup, including the absence of senior player Aiden Markram due to personal reasons.

“We’re feeling confident; this pitch is great for batting. We’re ready to either bat or bowl first. We take pride in representing our owners and fans. Aiden Markram has left for a personal matter, and Mohammed Shami is also out. Mohsin Khan will take Shami’s place, and Ayush Badoni will replace Markram,” Pant mentioned.
