Prince Yadav's Memorable Moment Against RCB

In a thrilling IPL 2026 match held in Lucknow, Prince Yadav expressed that while dismissing Virat Kohli for a two-ball duck was a notable achievement, the victory of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) was far more significant to him.

During RCB's chase, Prince made an early breakthrough by taking out Kohli cheaply, contributing to LSG's narrow nine-run win in a high-scoring encounter on Thursday night.

Reflecting on his prized wicket, the young fast bowler emphasized that the match's outcome brought him greater satisfaction.

He stated, "I felt good after taking the wicket, but the most fulfilling part is that we won the match. If I had taken the wicket and we lost, it wouldn’t have mattered as much. The victory for my team is what truly counts."

Prince also shared insights about his discussions with LSG's bowling coach Bharat Arun and seasoned pacer Mohammed Shami, noting that these conversations have been both positive and beneficial.

"I regularly converse with him, and Mohammed Shami is also involved. Everything is progressing well, with constructive discussions focused on our performance," Prince remarked.

He credited Shami for enhancing his understanding of bowling with the new ball and for uplifting the confidence of younger bowlers on the field.

"I've learned a lot from him regarding the new ball. What I appreciate most is that he stands at mid-on or mid-off while a bowler is bowling. Having such an experienced player beside you instills a different level of confidence. Mohammad Shami's experience is invaluable," the LSG pacer added.

In the match, Marsh delivered an impressive performance, scoring 111 runs off 56 balls, including nine fours and nine sixes, leading LSG to a total of 209/3 in 19 overs, despite interruptions due to rain.

A partnership of 95 runs between Devdutt Padikkal (34 runs off 25 balls, with three fours and a six) and captain Rajat Patidar (61 runs off 31 balls, with three fours and six sixes) helped RCB recover after losing two early wickets.

Contributions from Tim David (40 runs off 17 balls, with four boundaries and three sixes), Krunal Pandya (28* runs off 16 balls, with two fours and two sixes), and Romario Shepherd (23* runs off 15 balls, with three fours and a six) kept RCB competitive, but they ultimately fell short by nine runs.

With this victory, LSG has achieved its third win of the season, although they remain at the bottom of the table with seven losses. RCB has dropped to third place after suffering their fourth defeat in the tournament.
