Potential Impact of Operation Sindoor on Upcoming IPL Matches

Concerns Surrounding IPL Match in Dharamsala
The initiation of Operation Sindoor may influence the IPL match slated for May 11 in Dharamsala. While the Punjab Kings (PBKS) have already made their way to the venue, the Mumbai Indians (MI) have yet to arrive for the Sunday game. Reports indicate that the Kangra district administration has advised MI management to keep a close watch on their travel arrangements, as flight schedules might be affected.
As a result, there is a chance that the match could be postponed.
In light of these developments, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has canceled his planned visit to Banjar in Kullu district today. He is currently leading an emergency meeting with officials from the Home and Police departments to assess the situation stemming from the ongoing circumstances.
Dharamsala, the home ground for PBKS, is set to host two IPL matches this week. The Delhi Capitals have already arrived for their match on May 8. All IPL teams are utilizing Gaggal airport, which is situated approximately seven kilometers from Dharamsala in Kangra district, for their travel.
