Nicholas Pooran Sets New Record for Lucknow Super Giants
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India] - On April 12, West Indies cricket sensation Nicholas Pooran surpassed KL Rahul to claim the title of the highest run-scorer in the history of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Despite struggling in the recent match against LSG, Pooran managed to leave his mark by scoring 19 runs off 21 balls, including two sixes, ensuring his name is remembered in the franchise's records.
After participating in 47 matches for LSG, Pooran has accumulated 1,422 runs, boasting an impressive average of 39.50 and a strike rate of 177.30, along with 10 half-centuries. In contrast, KL Rahul scored 1,410 runs in 38 matches, averaging 41.47 with a strike rate of 130.67, including two centuries and 10 fifties.
This IPL season has been challenging for Pooran, as he has only managed to score 41 runs across four innings, averaging 10.25 with a strike rate of 85.41, and his highest score being 19.
In total, Pooran has played 11 innings this year, accumulating 153 runs at an average of 13.90 and a strike rate exceeding 110, with his best performance being 33 runs.
