Navdeep Saini Joins KKR as Harshit Rana's Replacement for IPL 2026
KKR Secures Navdeep Saini for IPL 2026
The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have officially announced that Navdeep Saini will step in for Harshit Rana, who has been sidelined for the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) due to an injury. The tournament is set to run from March 28 to May 31. Saini, a seasoned Indian pacer, will receive a salary of ₹75 lakhs, which matches his base price from the IPL Auction held in Abu Dhabi last December. This marks Saini's second consecutive season without being sold prior to this replacement.
In contrast, Harshit Rana is under a contract worth ₹4 crores annually with the three-time IPL champions. According to an IPL statement, "Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) have selected Navdeep Saini and Kulwant Khejroliya as player replacements for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026." Saini has taken 23 wickets across 32 IPL matches and has also claimed 23 wickets in international play for India. He will now join KKR for ₹75 lakhs.
