Mussoorie Queens and Dehradun Warriors Advance to UPL 2026 Final

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], September 24: The Mussoorie Queens and Dehradun Warriors have both clinched spots in the final of the women's segment of the Uttarakhand Premier League (UPL) 2026, having emerged as the top two teams during the league phase, as reported in a recent announcement.

Mussoorie Queens dominated the league, finishing first with an impeccable record, winning all their matches. Meanwhile, Dehradun Warriors secured the second position with two victories out of three games. The two teams are set to clash in the final of the third edition of UPL 2026 on Thursday.

On Wednesday, both teams showcased their skills with impressive wins in the women's competition.

In the opening match, Dehradun Warriors won the toss and chose to bowl first against Bageshwar Aerial. The latter struggled to gain momentum, managing to score only 98 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs.

Chasing a target of 99, Dehradun Warriors maintained their composure despite losing wickets at crucial moments. Neelam Bharadwaj played a pivotal role, scoring 48 runs off 39 balls, leading her team to victory. Dehradun Warriors successfully reached 99 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 18.1 overs, winning by four wickets.

Bharadwaj's outstanding performance earned her the Player of the Match title.

In the second match, Mussoorie Queens opted to bat first after winning the toss against Pithoragarh Hurricanes. They set a target of 89 runs by scoring 88 runs for 9 wickets in their 20 overs.

Pithoragarh Hurricanes struggled against the disciplined bowling of Mussoorie and could only manage 65 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted overs. Consequently, Mussoorie Queens triumphed by 23 runs, showcasing a strong bowling display.
