After a challenging stint during the T20 World Cup, where he spent much time on the bench, Siraj dedicated himself to rigorous practice sessions to refine his skills.

He acknowledged his initial struggles in the 2026 IPL season but has since regained his form by concentrating on fundamental aspects like rhythm, yorkers, and adapting his bowling strategy throughout different phases of the game.

Discussing his strategy against Sanju Samson on the red-soil pitch, Siraj mentioned his goal of inducing drives while keeping his approach straightforward. He emphasized that maintaining pressure from one end allows bowlers like Kagiso Rabada to capitalize and take wickets from the other end.

Siraj remarked, "The ball is coming out nicely. I was sidelined for most of the World Cup, but I worked hard in the nets. Although I struggled initially, I've regained my rhythm. I focus on my rhythm, yorkers, and bowling at various phases. On a red soil pitch, I aim to get Sanju driving. Keeping it simple helps, and if I can maintain pressure, Rabada can take wickets."

The Gujarat Titans showcased a stellar bowling performance, defeating CSK by a significant margin of 89 runs in their IPL encounter on Thursday night. Siraj, along with Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan, each took three wickets, restricting CSK to a mere 140 runs while chasing a target of 230. After 12 games, we were at the top but lost the last two, which prevented us from finishing in the top two. I'm grateful for the fans who support us," Gill stated.
