New Delhi [India] April 17: In a nail-biting encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Mitchell Starc's exceptional performance in the final over propelled the match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals into a super over during their Indian Premier League (IPL) face-off.


DC's Tristan Stubbs reflected on his game, admitting to a missed catch but credited KL Rahul for helping him regain his focus.


He shared insights about their strategy for the super over and expressed his contentment with his current form, eager to keep the momentum going.


“I felt terrible after dropping that catch in the 19th over, but KL kept me composed, and I aimed to secure the win. I couldn’t believe I dropped it, especially after they scored a six and a four. For the super over, Sandeep was targeting slower bouncers, so I committed to that shot. KL advised me to take my time, emphasizing the importance of managing pressure. My form is good, and I want to maintain it. It feels great to bounce back, and I hope we can sustain this momentum,” Stubbs stated during the post-match presentation.


With nine runs needed in the last over, Starc delivered a remarkable performance, conceding only eight runs, which led to the super over. In the super over, RR set a target of 12 runs after scoring 11.


KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs took to the crease for DC, while Sandeep Sharma bowled for RR. The duo completed the chase in just four balls.


Stubbs remained unbeaten, finishing with 34 runs off 18 balls, including two fours and two sixes, and hit a crucial six in the super over to secure the victory for DC.
