Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], May 20: In a compelling display of bowling, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) successfully limited Mumbai Indians (MI) to a modest score of 147 runs for 8 wickets during their IPL 2026 encounter at Eden Gardens on Wednesday.


Opting to bat first, MI started cautiously, managing just 10 runs without loss in the initial two overs. However, the third over turned disastrous for them as KKR's all-rounder Cameron Green struck twice swiftly, dismissing Ryan Rickelton for 6 runs on the third ball and then sending Naman Dhir back for a duck on the final delivery of the over.


The pressure mounted further in the next over when Saurabh Dubey removed Rohit Sharma for 15 runs, leaving MI in a precarious position at 24 for 3 after four overs.


Dubey continued his impressive performance by taking out Suryakumar Yadav for 15 runs in the sixth over, with MI concluding the powerplay at a challenging 46 for 4.
