IPL Fan Parks to Enhance Cricket Viewing Experience

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed plans for the IPL Fan Parks to make a comeback for the 2025 season, broadening the premier cricket viewing experience to 50 cities across 23 states and one union territory, as stated in an IPL media announcement.

Scheduled to take place over 10 weekends from March 22 to May 25, the 2025 IPL Fan Parks will stretch from Tinsukia in Assam to Kochi in Kerala, and from Amritsar in Punjab to Goa in the west, ensuring a nationwide reach.

Since their launch in 2015, IPL Fan Parks have offered live match screenings, music, entertainment, food courts, a play area for children, and various engaging activities such as a virtual batting zone, bowling nets, face painting, replica dugouts, a cheer-o-meter, and 360° photo booths. These parks are designed to connect fans and deliver the excitement of the IPL to every region of India.

The inaugural Fan Parks for this season will commence in Rohtak (Haryana), Bikaner (Rajasthan), Gangtok (Sikkim), Kochi (Kerala), and Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu). Each weekend will feature multiple Fan Parks operating simultaneously across different states to maximize fan participation. Notably, this will be the first time IPL Fan Parks are hosted in Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh), Dimapur (Nagaland), Karaikal (Puducherry), Manbhum, Purulia (West Bengal), Rohtak, and Tinsukia.

Arun Singh Dhumal, Chairman of IPL, expressed, “The IPL Fan Parks are essential to our vision of bringing the tournament closer to fans throughout India. By organizing these events in various cities and towns, we aim to recreate the electrifying atmosphere of the stadium and allow fans to celebrate the IPL together. This initiative strengthens our connection with cricket lovers nationwide, ensuring they experience the excitement and passion of the sport in a lively and vibrant environment,” as per the IPL media advisory.

Devajit Saikia, Honorary Secretary of BCCI, added, “The IPL Fan Parks showcase our dedication to engaging fans beyond the stadiums. Since its inception in 2015, this initiative has delivered the thrill of the IPL to millions, creating unforgettable memories. With the 2025 schedule encompassing 50 cities, we are thrilled to extend the IPL experience to even more fans, ensuring that the spirit of cricket and the magic of IPL reaches every corner of the nation.”
